COUPLES COUNSELLING

Couples may be married or not, mixed or same-sex, living together or living apart.

I see couples who feel that their relationship is in difficulty and wish to seek help.
If you’re in this position, you may for example be arguing a lot, be unhappy in your sexual relationship, have problems with parenting your children, or be thinking about separation or divorce.
I will help you understand more about what’s going on between you, so that you can come to recognise patterns you may not be aware of. I will help to clarify how you might be able to get things to improve and how you will be able to develop your relationship more positively.
Couples Counselling Aims
Some things I aim to help people achieve through couples counselling, (which also forms part of individual therapy where appropriate), include:
  • Better communication
  • A more stable family life
  • Self-discovery
  • An improved sexual relationship
  • Greater awareness of your partner’s needs
  • Reduced jealousy
  • Increased confidence
  • Reduced arguments and aggression
  • Harmony
